Target Population
  • Patient: Provides more timely medical services, enhances the safety of the care process, and improves overall patient satisfaction.
  • Staff: Optimizes the patient transport workflow to reduce staff workload and operational friction, while simultaneously increasing the turnover rate of medical equipment.
  • Hospital: Strengthens the asset inventory mechanism, increases transparency of transport activities across departments, and improves the stability of hospital material management systems.

Description

Initiated in 2021, this project integrates a medical equipment network management system with real-time location technology, successfully moving beyond traditional warehousing and logistics models to create a digitalized and mobile smart healthcare environment. By optimizing equipment procurement, inventory, and distribution processes, and implementing electronic hospital maps for intelligent positioning and electronic profile management, the project has not only enhanced clinical workflow efficiency but also improved manpower allocation, achieving highly efficient, accurate, and real-time patient transfer services.
By 2025, the results include a 90% reduction in bed search time, elimination of transfer delays and abnormal incidents, 100% accuracy and punctuality in patient examinations, and a 140% increase in staff job satisfaction. This initiative effectively mitigates patient safety risks, strengthens healthcare quality management, and represents a significant milestone toward sustainable medical operations.

Key Highlights
  • Information Innovation:
The project incorporates human factors engineering and UX design to establish a real‑time location system that integrates electronic equipment profiles, device positioning, and movement tracking, while strengthening information security controls.
  • Process Optimization:
Process mapping is used to identify bottlenecks and streamline workflow steps. A tiered dispatch system is implemented to reduce waiting time and improve equipment turnover efficiency.
  • Intelligent Management:
An electronic equipment profile system is established to fully track the lifecycle of each device. It supports inventory management, automated reporting, and procurement decision‑making, enhancing asset utilization efficiency and sustainable management.
