China Medical University Hospital promotes a dual strategy of "Smart Healthcare × Sustainable Development." Starting in 2022, ESG has been incorporated as a core development focus, and a sustainable indicator framework covering environmental, social, and governance aspects has been established.
In 2023, carbon emissions reached 24,315.6 tons of CO₂e, with an annual reduction of 3,263.1 tons. Through energy-saving measures, an economic benefit of 8.6 million NTD was achieved, and 41,000 tons of water were saved annually, making it a benchmark for medical institutions in the country.
In terms of smart healthcare, 16 AI clinical systems have been established, covering processes such as medication management and image interpretation. Additionally, in 2024, the hospital received the global number one ranking in HIMSS Digital Health Indicators, becoming the only hospital in Asia to pass the highest-level digital certifications of INFRAM, DIAM, and AMAM.
On the social front, the hospital has combined the USR program with corporate volunteer efforts to promote "Smart Aging Health Promotion," "Rural Medical Outreach," and the "Vietnam Water Resource Assistance Program," demonstrating its commitment to health equity and medical diplomacy.
