Established in 2016, the Thyroid & Head and Neck Ablation Center at Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital is Taiwan's first multidisciplinary center dedicated to minimally invasive "Organ-Preserving Ablation Medicine." By integrating advanced image-guided technologies—including Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA), Microwave Ablation (MWA), and Arterial Embolization—the center provides a definitive alternative to traditional excisional surgeries for thyroid, parotid, and parathyroid diseases. With nearly 2,500 successful clinical cases and the world’s first documented parotid tumor ablation, the center has redefined standard care by offering scar-free procedures that preserve glandular function and minimize complications. As a global leader, the center actively shapes international clinical guidelines and serves as an Asian training hub for specialized ablation medicine.
